Approach, opening and internal reach
The access review covers the approach from the entrance, the clear tool path through the opening and the final reach behind internals. Visibility at the working face is part of that route.
Test the practical route from opening to deposit
Opening dimensions, the route beyond them and each obstruction show what equipment can reach. Vessel diameter alone says little about the area behind coils or baffles.
Blind areas remain attached to their location
Using an opening from outside the tank may avoid some access problems, but it must still reach the relevant surfaces and allow removed material to leave. The remote tank cleaning service is assessed against internal coverage, visibility and the required finish, not chosen simply because entry is awkward.
The access review covers drainage to the recovery point, alignment between openings and hidden surfaces, camera visibility and any operation sharing the surrounding area.
Drawings can show nominal dimensions but not every later obstruction. Current photographs and a walk to the tank help when reviewing remote cleaning before entry is considered as a separate specialist decision.
Vessel drawings explain internal dimensions but may say little about today’s route through a crowded plant room. Current photographs should show doors, stairs, overhead obstructions and the available working area. The contractor can then compare those constraints with non-entry options before deciding whether restricted access changes the method.
